CSULB’s premiere vocal jazz ensemble is heading to the Monterey Jazz Festival this month to perform as the winners of the Next Generation Competition. Show your support as they get ready for their journey, and hear why this group of young singers clearly are the best university-based vocal jazz ensemble in the nation.

Darrin Thaves, flute w/Rena Urso-Trapani, flute

Faculty Artist Darrin Thaves is joined by BCCM flute faculty Rena Urso-Trapani and pianist Sandra Bleiweiss, performing an evening of virtuosic flute and piano music from around the world.

The evening will include works by Tchaikovsky, Uebayashi, Kuhlau and Taffanel.
