Marilyn has had a successful career in education, earning her secondary credential, and two masters degrees at CSULB. She's proud of her contribution to the learning of Italian at Millikan High School and Long Beach City College.
Lynn, a Long Beach native was an elementary school teacher & years later worked as an nonprofit executive. She is active in programs that support women, girls, & the environment.
Lea retired a couple of years ago as CEO of a medical research corporation after 41 years in healthcare administration in private, university and government entities. She was a "re-entry" student and graduated from CSULB 20 years after her high school graduation with marriage, family, divorce and a new stepfamily in between. Lea believes in "giving back" and contributing both physically and fiscally to our community. She remains mentally active with attendance at 2 research committees at CSULB and 1 at Tibor Rubin VA Long Beach and enjoying her family, summer concerts, book club, movies and gourmet group. Lea is excited to be chair of Women and Philantrophy for 2017-18.
Mary Miller is a Long Beach resident who enjoys supporting the local community. Mary spent most of her career in Finance and in 2016 retired from the position of Chief Financial Officer of Front Porch, an organization that owns and operates multi-level senior living communities serving over 5,000 residents with annual revenues of $200 million and 2,200 employees.
Mary is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Houston (M.B.A.) and Spring Hill College (B.S.C. in Accounting), and is a C.P.A. and Certified Internal Auditor. In addition to being an Executive Council member of California State University, Long Beach Women & Philanthropy, Mary serves on the California State University, Long Beach Financial Management Association Advisory Board and is a Steering Committee member of the Los Angeles CFO Leadership Council. Mary also volunteers with her dog Remy at St. Mary’s Hospital in Long Beach, visiting patients in Pediatrics and Rehabilitation.
In 2007, Vicki received a Women & Philanthropy scholarship and has been a member ever since. She has worked as a Recreation Therapist with a variety of clients including adults with mental illness, substance abuse, and developmental disabilities.
