Candidates entering this program have either received a Bachelor's Degree or will receive a Bachelor's Degree prior to the end of their Credential Program (including CSULB Liberal Studies Track I majors). Through this pathway candidates will earn a Preliminary Multiple Subject Credential and Preliminary Education Specialist Credential in 2 years.
The UDCP Program is a cohort program that begins in the Fall semester only. Since the program is a cohort model, candidates follow the schedule listed below and the program cannot be completed part time. During Semester 1 and Semester 2 candidates will be participating in Clinical Practice (fieldwork) 2-3 days a week in a classroom and taking classes 3-4 days a week. During Semester 3 and Semester 4 candidates will be student teaching half the day 4 days a week and the full day 1 day a week while taking classes in the afternoons/evenings 3-4 days a week.
