Case Management

CAPS has a full time case manager to support students who face barriers and challenges in connecting to community resources.  The goal is to assist students obtain appropriate services to enhance both their academic and personal well-being.  Services include helping students access resources such as food, legal services, ongoing counseling, health insurance, and a variety of social service needs.

Our campus BASIC NEEDS program is also a wonderful resources to assist students to housing and food linkages.

To schedule a case management appointment, please contact the front desk.  Typically, students meet with the case manager for a 30 minute appointment to discuss and identify what types of community resources may be available. The case manager can help students contact these resources, set goals, and plan for next steps. Some students find that they only need one to meet their needs; others may decide with the case manager to return for future appointments.

Should students wish to seek therapy resources on their own, we have compiled a database of professionals in the nearby area: https://csulb.rints.com/
