Jeremy Scruggs | Assistant Director

Jeremy Scruggs began his college experience at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), where he earned his Bachelors of Social Work in 2015 and Master's of Higher Education and Student Personnel in 2017. During his tenure at Ole Miss, he was a committed student leader and advocate for underrepresented populations across campus and the local community. Jeremy started his professional career as a Student Leadership Program Advisor at the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB), then later transitioned into a new role at (UCSB) as Resident Director for Santa Rosa Hall, home of the Black Scholar Hall. His passion for both the Black community and advocacy afforded him the honor to be selected by students to serve as a member of the steering committee to establish the inaugural Office of Black Student Development at UCSB.
