Documents Required for CalFresh Application
After you complete your application, you will be asked to submit the following documents listed below to verify the information provided on the application. Please upload documents to GetCalFresh.Org/Docs
You must provide your current class schedule and your financial aid award letter/ package. Information on how to access can be found on Page 8 through Page 10 in the CalFresh Outreach Process Guide
You must provide at least ONE of the following forms of identification for your CalFresh Application
A U.S. Issued Driver's License
A U.S. Birth Certificate
A U.S. Issued Passport
A U.S. Issued Idenfitication Card
If applicable, you must provide proof of income.
Paystubs within the last 30 days
A Job Offer Letter
A Loss of Income Statement
Please provide proof for the following expenses
Utility Expenses
Water, Cooling, Heating, Phone, Sewage
Rental Expenses
Receipt from your Landlord, Sworn Statement, Lease Agreement
If you require a Student Verification letter to confirm your participation in one of the approved Local Program of Increased Employability (LPIE) listed below, please email your name, ID number, and lastly your program name to Calfresh@csulb.edu
*LPIE is a college program that trains students for a job and may make you eligible for CalFresh.
If you are currently living on campus and have a 10 meal-plan per week, you must provide proof by uploading a screenshot of your 10 meal-plan from your housing portal or email the housing office to request a 10-meal plan verification letter
