An Update for CSULB Faculty & Staff

A Message from President Conoley

While our campus community wishes for a return to something like “normal,” I trust that all can appreciate the complexity of what confronts us. We are living and planning through, I think, one of the worst, if not the worst, threats to public higher education in our history. Our actions, decisions, and timelines have far-reaching, even life-saving/threatening, consequences.

This week, we ramped up planning to repopulate campus, though that will be driven by health experts and in alignment with the Governor's four-phase guidance. In addition, and not unanticipated, we, as a system and campus, are learning more about budget challenges. I will provide timely updates as facts and guidance are firm. For today, let’s do our best to stay together. OneBeach is not just a hashtag, it is a necessity if we are to thrive.
