A word on holiday health guidance

Published December 10, 2020

Dear Beach Community:

As the fall semester begins to wind down, many of us are looking forward to a well-deserved winter break.

While this season is often a time when we gather with family and friends, the pandemic -- and the current surge of new cases -- will require us to continue to make sacrifices to protect our own health and that of others.

In addition, current public health guidance here in California currently restricts all non-essential travel.

If you find that you must travel during the coming weeks, we ask that you plan accordingly: a 14-day self-quarantine is strongly encouraged before any return to campus.

As a reminder, please continue to take all necessary precautions now and over the break: wear face coverings, keep distance, avoid multi-household gatherings.

We want you to protect yourself and those around you, and we appreciate your care and planning. You play an essential role in the health of our community.
