Please join the campus for the Construction Groundbreaking Ceremony of the new Student Success Center (PH2 Renovation) on September 29, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the exterior quad located between the PH2 and PH1 buildings.

The Peterson Hall 2 Renovation Project will provide a “Student Success Center,” a consolidated home for multiple campus organizations that primarily help disadvantaged and struggling students stay in school and attain their degrees. The renovation project will also provide new academic labs and studio spaces for various programs. An existing exterior area on the south side of the building will be turned into a thriving outdoor plaza with abundant seating and Wi-Fi. The building will also have a new student lounge on the second floor with a view of the adjacent quad. The project will result in a seismically safe, ADA compliant, and air-conditioned facility.  While all major systems of the building will be replaced the shell of the building will be maintained to reduce waste.  This renovation will achieve US Green Building Council’s prestigious LEED Gold certification for its sustainable design elements.
