NIH R16 "SuRE" Mechanism

Published January 24, 2022

NIH Support for Research Exellence (SuRE) Program Grant Workshop

The SuRE program supports research capacity building at institutions that enroll significant numbers of students from backgrounds nationally underrepresented in biomedical research. It seeks to develop and sustain research excellence of faculty investigators and provide students with research opportunities while catalyzing institutional research culture and enriching the research environment.

The SuRE program supports investigator-initiated research in the biomedical, clinical, behavioral, and social sciences that falls in the mission areas of NIH Institutes, Centers, and Officers. Research activities require student participation.

In this workshop Dr. Albert Avila will share the R16 SuRE program mechanisms and be available to answer faculty questions. Please join us and see what you can do to improve your chances in submitting your SuRE proposal!
