In the past 20 years, I have worked in different capacities within the fields of immigration. I began working as a social worker with refugees in Canada, then for the United Nations, and ultimately at California State University, Long Beach. Currently, I work as a coordinator in the Department of Anthropology. I am delighted to work with so many vibrant and intelligent people. My primary goals in this position are to help students with personal growth, promote opportunities that will enhance their university experience, as well as foster a safe and collegial working environment for faculty and staff.
Academically, I am a Psycholinguist and Social Science researcher.
As for my personal life, I am an environmentalist and Human Rights advocate. Living a simple & happy life, I enjoy cooking, gardening and am passionate about world music and cinema/movies.
