Barbara Taylor

Dr. Barbara Taylor is the Associate Dean for Research in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at CSULB. She is also a broadly trained physiologist, who began a research career as an undergraduate student at the University of British Columbia (UBC) with published research in marine ecological physiology. Her graduate degrees (also completed at UBC) focused on nutritional and metabolic physiology, and as a postdoc, she moved to biomedical neurophysiology. At University of Alaska Fairbanks, her research program centered on mechanisms by which exogenous metabolites (nutriceuticals and toxins) influence neural function during development and over lifespan.
