The Career Development Center (CDC) supports students through the process of educational, career and personal discovery in preparing them for success in the global workforce.
Center for Scholarship Information
The Center for Scholarship Information (CSI) is the official clearinghouse for scholarship information at CSULB. The Center collects, organizes, and distributes information on scholarships as well as administer specific scholarships for the Division of Student Services and various colleges on campus. Students can search their database with over 600 on- and off-campus scholarships.
Access resources to a variety of departments/divisions on campus, including admissions, financial aid, registration, graduation, student academic records, and key dates and deadlines.
The purpose of the Graduate Student Association (GSA) is to serve the needs of graduate students with social activities and opportunities to become active in the life of the university. GSA also offers informational resources, including financial and professional workshops, and opportunities for graduate students to share research.
The Learning Assistance Center (LAC) offers a variety of support services including tutoring, learning skills, supplemental instruction, and ESL/language and writing program
A central goal of the Multicultural Center (MCC) is to increase the number of collaborations created across the academy. The MCC plays an integral role in forming partnerships and co-sponsoring events and programs built around shared themes, such as mentoring and ethical leadership.
Thesis and Dissertation Office
The Thesis and Dissertation Office helps students prepare manuscripts using proper University format guidelines and the style guide approved by individual departments.
The Writer's Resource Lab (WRL) is CSULB’s writing center. Its central mission is to provide ongoing writing instruction to any currently enrolled CSULB student via one-on-one tutorials. Some of the broad range of tasks a tutor might help a student with include selecting a topic, generating ideas, developing/revising working drafts, dealing with issues of style, and acquiring proofreading and editing skills.
The Isabel Patterson Child Development Center (IPCDC) serves as a family support service for CSULB students by offering early care and education programs for children from six months through second grade. The IPCDC enables student parents to attend classes and is dedicated to ensuring that no student parent is denied access to higher education because of a lack of affordable campus childcare.
The Child and Family Center, located in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at CSULB, is an educational program which provides training of early childhood professionals in Child Development and Family Studies. The Center also provides quality childcare services primarily for CSULB employees and their families, and families from the surrounding community, as enrollment permits.
African Student Association Center
The mission of the African Student Association Center is to provide a facility for African students and staff in a secure, supportive, well maintained, functional, and African centered environment. The focus of the center is to benefit the cultural growth and development of the CSULB African community.
American Indian Student Services
American Indian Student Services (AISS) provides services in support of the recruitment, retention, and graduation of the indigenous peoples of North American enrolled at CSULB. The Center provides admissions, academic and personal advising and counseling support for American Indian/Alaskan Native students enrolled at CSULB.
Asian Pacific Student Resource Center
The mission of the Asian Pacific Student Resource Center is to provide a facility for Asian Pacific student organizations and Asian Pacific students and staff. In addition, the Asian Pacific Student Resource Center serves to educate and inform the campus wide community of Asian Pacific culture, history, and social issues.
Center for Latino Community Health
The Center for Latino Community Health aims to improve, promote, and advocate for the health, culture, and well-being of diverse Latino/Hispanic communities. The Center is home to a number of projects and resources related to Latina/Hispanic community health and social well-being.
Led by Latina faculty and students at CSULB, this support group provides a space to connect with other Latinas, share experiences, explore the role of culture and family in students’ academic careers, and discuss matters such as personal growth, career choices and campus resources. It also hosts the Latina Connection Conference to empower Latina students in their educational accomplishments through connection and mentorship with other Latina students, staff and faculty at CSULB.
The mission of the Men's Success Initiative (MSI) is to provide support and resources to African-American and Latino male students as a way to enhance their academic, personal and professional success.
The Raza Student Resource Center
The Raza Resource Center’s goal is to enhance the diversity of CSULB by providing resources that educate students about the many historical and cultural backgrounds that make up the Chicano/Latino population.
Sponsored is a weekly supportive networking group for African American women at CSULB.
Accessible Instructional Materials Center
The Accessible Instructional Materials Center (AIM Center) provides computer support services for students with disabilities and maintains a consultant relationship with faculty and staff. The center also provides one-on-one training and small group demonstration sessions for students, faculty and staff members to develop their knowledge and skills in the use of assistive technology software and hardware. The AIM Center also provides a study room in the lower level library for students with disabilities to access.
The Disabled Student Services office assists students with disabilities as they secure their university degrees.
The University Interfaith Center offers counseling and informal conversations to various religious faiths on campus. Current members include the Catholic Newman Club, Cooperative Protestant Campus Ministry, Episcopal Campus Ministry, Hillel (Jewish Student Association), Unitarian Universalist Church, and United Methodist Campus Ministry.
Counseling and Psychological Services
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers services which include short-term counseling for individuals, group counseling, career development counseling, referral services, psychoeducational workshops, and crisis intervention.

Student Emergency Intervention and Wellness Program
The CSULB Program is a comprehensive initiative that identifies and immediately serves some of CSULB’s most at-risk students which include our displaced students, food insecure students and students experiencing an emergency situation or crisis.
The Student Health Services supports academic excellence by promoting physical and mental well-being, through affordable quality health services and education. They provide sensitive and confidential healthcare services to a diverse campus community.
Center for International Education
The International Programs welcome thousands of students, scholars, and professionals to campus each year for a range of degree and non-degree programs, and they offer a wealth of learning and research opportunities for CSULB students and faculty abroad.
The Leadership Resource Center offers a comprehensive set of programs and leadership opportunities to meet students where they are in their development and help them improve their leadership potential.
Maxson Student Organization Center
The Maxson Center is responsible for reservations for advertising opportunities which include: banners, Friendship Walk electronic marquee, and display cases on the University Student Union property.
Student Life and Development (SLD) aims to promote opportunities for campus and community involvement through student organizations, leadership training and experiences, and community service, in addition to supporting and advising numerous programs and events that student organizations provide to the campus community.
The LGBT Student Resource Center strives to promote full inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, intersex, and queer identified individuals and their allies at CSULB. The center also strives to eliminate heterosexism, homophobia, gender identity oppression, sexism, classism, racism, and other blatant and institutional forms of marginalization by providing advocacy, collection, and dissemination of information and resources, and supporting campus queer and ally organizations.

The DREAM Success Center (DSC) supports students who are undocumented in their pursuit of higher education.
Future Underrepresented Educated Leaders
Future Underrepresented Educated Leaders (FUEL) is a support group for underrepresented and undocumented students on campus.
The Veterans Services office provides support to students and their dependents in accessing the educational benefits they earned by serving in the armed forces of the United States.
