Getting Your Aid - Newly Admitted Undergraduates

For the majority of students enrolled in classes, accepted financial aid will automatically be credited to student bills 10 days prior to the start of classes each semester.

In order for your financial aid to be released (or disbursed for payment of university-related charges), you must:

  • Have an Award Summary that contains Official Awards
  • Accepted the awards on your Award Summary
  • Complete your To-Do List on MyCSULB
  • Loan borrowers – complete the required loan steps for new borrowers (see Information for Loan Borrowers)
  • Enroll in classes

If your Award Summary still shows Estimated Awards, review the items on your To-Do List and take action as soon as possible. If you have any questions on outstanding items, contact our office during regular business hours.

If your Award Summary has been finalized, but you have not accepted your awards on MyCSULB, your financial aid will not be released.  Be sure to accept your awards so that the funds are able to be applied towards your charges.
