  • Taste detection in congenital aglossia (absence of a tongue at birth)
  • Taste detection and rehabilitation in different conditions including cancers, Alzheimer’s disease, and aging
  • Nutrition as a component of a healthy lifestyle in health promotion and disease management
  • Diversity promotion in biomedical research (Mentor and member of the Internal Advisory Board of the BUILD Initiative )
  • Dietetic accreditation and curriculum development
  • Nutrition education of allied health professionals
