Application Process Including Verification of Completion of the CSULB DI for Employment or Licensure

Note:  The CSULB DI is no longer accepting applicants.  We currently have two cohorts in the process of completing the program.  As an Accredited Internship, the following is listed to provide information for the current cohorts, but the program is no longer involved in computer-matching nor will accept new applicants beginning in April, 2024.

The Internship Program in Nutrition and Dietetics (IPND) at CSULB is part of the Master of Science in Nutritional Science. Persons who have successfully applied to the university were successful applying to the dietetic internship.  The following procedure is closed but listed as information for the last two cohorts currently completing the 2-year program. 

If you are a graduate of the DI at CSULB between 1993 and 2025 and need Verification of Completion for employment or licensure, see #3 below.

  1. To Apply for Admission to CSULB
    • The first step is to complete an application to the university and apply to the MS in Nutritional Science through Cal State Apply.  A $65 non-refundable fee is required.
    • NOTE:  A GPA of 3.0 or higher (4.0 SCALE) on the last 60 Units is required for admission to the MS in Nutritional Science. 
    • Applications are accepted for the Fall semester only:  The Deadline is February 15th.
  2. Admission to the Dietetic Internship is now closed 
  3. If you are a graduate of the DI at CSULB and need Verification of Completion for employment and/or Verification documents sent to a U.S. state for the RD/RDN licensure, complete the two-part request at
