Campus Planning Update for Faculty and Staff

Published May 18, 2020

In her message last week, President Conoley announced that planning groups continue to examine how the balance of our employees (staff, faculty members and student workers) not already deemed “essential” can return to working on campus.

Originally, the university was hopeful that employees could return later this month. That goal turned out to be unrealistic, and a return of all employees can only begin after Safer at Home orders are modified.

As President Conoley said, once we are able to begin coming back, it’s likely that we’ll stagger the return of employees to add to campus density gradually, and safety precautions will be required.

There is much work to be done in planning how we can reunite on campus. Everyone's efforts this past semester made a significant difference to our students, and we all appreciate your future contributions on the road ahead.
