  3. Announcements
    1. Operations Update
      1. RTP Amendment for limiting narrative length has been approved by Faculty Affairs.
        1. Approval process took place in the Spring semester, so all RTP files that were submitted beforehand are acceptable as is.
        2. Upcoming Minis will be encouraged to get their narratives in line with the new policy.
      2. Working with Faculty Affairs for ongoing questions and issues.
      3. Lecturer Review Committee meetings will be underway soon, including meetings with the Dean taking place this week.

        1. Send any telecommuting updates to Henry and the Dean.

      1. Advising Updates/NACADA Review
        1. NACADA Consultants are coming next Tuesday; meeting with faculty, staff advisors, associate deans, and deans.
      2. CNSM Admission Data (for sharing with departments)
        1. Will need to work on advertising our programs and compete more effectively for top students.
          1. Including freshmen, native sophomore, and transfer outreach.
        2. Challenges include: lack of effective advising in California community colleges, number of high schools, workload/caseload, etc.
        3. Opportunities: Dual enrollments, summer research experiences, mini-showcase.
      3. CNSM Class Sizes Data (for “Deep Dive” Continuation)
      4. Spring 2023 Lecturer Hiring Reminders
        1. Follow the order of assignments during the academic year.
        2. Must have record of any consultations and offers.
    2. Research & Graduate Programs
      1. All faculty has received a notification about the Student Research Awards.
        1. Please encourage faculty to nominate students; nomination period opens October 8 and ends November 28.
      2. URAC award dates have been distributed.
      3. Year End Report
        1. CNSM brings in ~20% of awards and contributes ~18% of new proposals.

        1. Tickets go straight to the CNSM IT team, not the campus team.
