Important Message About CNSM Spring 2022 Courses

Published January 12, 2022

The following is important information regarding Spring 2022 classes taught in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at California State University, Long Beach. Please read the entire message.

As communicated by President Jane Close Conoley on January 6, 2022 at the recommendation of local public health officials and out of an abundance of caution, we will begin our spring semester on January 20 by offering primarily remote instruction to students, delaying most face-to-face instruction until Monday, February 7, 2022.

All CNSM classes (lectures, labs, seminars, activities), with the exception of students doing research in faculty labs, will be held remotely January 20 - February 4, 2022.

CNSM course prefixes include:

  • ASTR
  • BIOL
  • CHEM
  • GEOL
  • MATH
  • MTED
  • PHSC
  • PHYS
  • SCED
  • STAT

We are planning on a full return to campus on February 7, so faculty, staff, and students should be ready for classes to take place as originally scheduled on that date, subject to directions and recommendations from our local health authorities.

All CNSM academic advising and student support services will be offered remotely until February 7, 2022.

Information regarding non-CNSM classes will be communicated separately.

Please check your CSULB email and CSULB COVID-19 website frequently for the most recent updates.
