Model MA. Program in LL Specialist Context

Description

This M.A. program provides rigorous academic scholarships using Linked Learning principles including interdisciplinary collaboration between academic and career-technical education (CTE) teachers; project-based learning and the integration of work-based learning experiences. Teacher candidates will develop competence in designing meaningful instructional tasks based on real-world problems; expand their own learning. The program incorporates current California curriculum standards and frameworks, standardized assessments as well as Linked Learning principles and practices as part of the normal program curriculum.

The program course sequence consists of 10 courses that are 3 semester units respectively for a program total of 30 semester units. The program course sequence includes the five core courses from the Master’s program in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, secondary option, two research methods course and three elective courses.
