The Courage to set Boundaries

All CSULB students are invited to attend the annual  Ethics at The Beach seminar hosted by the Associated Business Students Organization Council, Student Center for Professional Development, and Ukleja Center for Ethical Leadership this spring.

The event will be held at The Pointe at the Walter Pyramid from 9-11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 15.  To sign up for the workshop, students can register here.  The $5 registration fee includes continental breakfast and a journal, along with the option to receive a digital certificate of completion.

Attendees will have an opportunity to enhance their ethical leadership skills while exploring the seminar’s theme, The Courage to Set Boundaries.  The program will feature three dynamic guest speakers sharing their inspirational stories

  • Carl Kemp, Executive Director of Public Affairs and Marketing, Long Beach City College
  • Bruce Mac Rae, Vice President of State Government Affairs, UPS
  • Taryn Williams, Doctoral Student in Organizations and Management, UC Irvine

In addition, an interactive exercise led by Dr. Shelly Collins of CSULB’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) will explore The Imposter Syndrome.  The event will conclude with a message from Morgan Shidler, founder of Hustle & Play™, a guidebook designed to balance personal leadership development with time management.  Thanks to Morgan’s generosity, all attendees will receive a copy of the book.
