This year the Graduate Programs Office sponsored my participation in the Prospanica Conference. Although COVID-19 was an issue, I was able to access all the resources and discussions the conference offered virtually. I heard stories from women leaders as well as other female MBA students who are going through the same path as I am now. We were able to connect with members who have been part of Prospanica for years as well as employees from different companies who dedicate themselves to providing opportunities to Latinx students. Being a first-generation Latina, it is hard to find a lot of guidance based on my experiences. But this conference has provided me with tools that I can use to reach my career goals while also acknowledging and relating to my culture.
If you are able to give, please consider donating to make an MBA possible for the most hard-working students. Together, we can leverage the power of scholarships and educate the future leaders of global business.
