Department Seminar
Upcoming Seminar
From Betty Crocker Homemaker to Chemist in the Kitchen
Dr. Margaret Merryfield, CSU Long Beach
April 17, 2024
4:00pm-5:00pm in HSCI-105
What can you do with a degree in biochemistry? More to the point, how do the skills one learns as a scientist translate outside the classroom and laboratory? Is there a logical pathway that leads from studying enzymes and enzyme regulation to serving as an expert in academic human resources? In this seminar, I will share my experiences over a career that has included everything from basic science to labor negotiations, with a recent delicious application – the chemistry and biochemistry of food and cooking.
Seminars are held on Wednesdays at 4:00pm. All are invited to attend.
