Vincent Calles was born and raised in Watts, California. He graduated from California State University, Long Beach, with his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy in 2013. Prior to working in the financial services industry, he was a field trainer and instructor with the Transportation Security Administration at LAX and Long Beach airport. Training and mentoring others led him to transfer those skills into personal finance and helping families get back on track financially.
He helps families address real-life financial challenges, so they can have the financial flexibility and stability they need. His areas of expertise include: insurance protection, retirement strategies, business solutions, legacy strategies and long-term care coverage. As an independent advisor his business spans California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, and Texas.
Since graduating he continues to support the Philosophy Department at CSULB. He is a student mentor, speaker and contributor with the following organizations: Men’s Success Initiative, Student Center for Professional Development, Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Latinx Faculty and Staff Association. Vincent is the newest Alumni Association Board member for 2018.
On any given day you can catch him cycling on the bike path near the beach or riding his motorcycle in the canyons. He loves to promote the City of Long Beach and CSULB and looks forward in ensuring that the University remains one of the top institutions in the country.
