Kim is the Sr. HR Strategic Business Partner for Commercial Airplanes Southern California Design Center Engineering where she partners with leaders to develop and execute strategies related to talent management, leadership development, workforce planning, organization optimization, performance and career development, early career innovation, and employee engagement.
Kim leads the strategy, approach and plan to execute human capital elements for the business strategy and champions a diverse, service excellence culture characterized by fast, agile and responsive decision making and an entrepreneurial, innovative and engaged mindset. Prior to this role, Kim lead the Enterprise Initiatives team in Enterprise Learning Strategy and Infrastructure, and held various other positions in Learning & Development, Information Systems, and Engineering.
Kim serves on the California State University Long Beach Alumni Association Board and Executive committee, and represents the Alumni Association on the Committee for Athletics. She is the chair of the Pacific Gateway Workforce Investment Board, and has extensive experience in workforce development, internships, and Career Exploration and Preparedness Programs. In addition, is a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, USCG Academy Partner, and a LB Community Emergency Response Team. Kim is an alumna of Leadership Long Beach and Leadership California, and a long-time veterinary assistant volunteer at the Aquarium of the Pacific.
Kim is a life-long learner earning multiple degrees from Cal State Long Beach, San Bernardino Valley College, and a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University.
Kim holds a Designated Subjects Teaching Credential, Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification, and certificates in Lean Enterprise Solutions, Six Sigma, ROI Methodology, and Champions of Change.
