Fig. 6.  Ion-exchange diode array spectrum of peaks eluting between 14 minutes and 19 minutes from the size-exclusion column (see Figure 3).  The co-eluting moieties from the SE column can be further resolved into three distinct peaks.
 

Fig. 7.  Ion-exchange profile at 254 nm of peaks eluting between 14 and 19 minutes from the size-exclusion column (see Figure 3).    Assays for GSH and GSSG showed that the majority of the compounds were centered on fraction eluting at 8.5 minutes and 12.5 minutes.  However, some cross reactivity for GSH and GSSH was observed in both peaks. Overlying the chromatogram are histograms of the enzymatic activities of GSH (Green) and GSSG (Red) obtained from the 500 ml fractions collected from the column eluant.  The activities confirm the identity of GSSG and GSH in peaks 2 and 3.
