E.
LECTURE AND LABORATORY EXAMS:
Emphasis will be placed on essay questions that not only critically test comprehension and understanding of the lecture or laboratory materials but also help develop scientific writing skills.
Students with a verified disability must notify the
instructor ahead of time of any accommodations that
need to be made for examinations or
tests.
F. GRADING POLICY:
A total of 1000 points is available; 600 for the
lecture and 400 for the laboratory. Grading for
lecture is based on four exams (100, 125, 150, and
225 pts.), weighted to represent the amount of
material covered. The laboratory part of the grade
includes 6 quizzes (15 points each), 3 exams (50
pts. each), a written laboratory report (60 pts.)
and a laboratory notebook (100 pts.). Examples of
the various lecture exams can be obtained by using
