ARTIST'S STATEMENT

I am interested in abstraction, minimalism and beauty. I am as interested in spatial qualities as I am in imagery. My background as a printmaker influences my way of creating, even if what I am creating is not a print in the traditional sense. Process, experimentation, chance, and accident are essential forces in my work.

Currently, my imagery comes from printers' type, stamps meant for office or industrial settings, and my own fingerprints. Removing these tools from their original meanings and purposes, I use them as conduits in my search for beauty.
