What does 要 mean? It’s meaning depends on the context.

want - 她要送丁雲回學生宿舍。

She want to drive Ding Yun back to the student dorm.

will - 她今天晚上就要到北京了。

She will arrive in Beijing tonight.

ask sb to do sth- 媽媽要她注意身體﹐努力學習﹐不要想家。

Mom asks her to pey attention to health, to study hard and not to miss home.
