Notes:
  • 'xixi xixi' is the reduplicated version of 'xixi' [to rest]. Reduplication of a verb carries the meaning of 'have a ...', e.g. 'knkan' [to take a look].

  •
  • 'zu bu wn': unable to finish. This pattern 'V+de(bu)+wn' indicates if an event can or cannot be completed. More examples:

  • zu de wn [can finish doing (it)]
kn bu wn [cannot finish reading (it)]
xu de wn [can finish studying (lessons)]

  • 'znme le?' is an expression to ask what is happening after finding out that is happening. It cannot be used in the same way as English greeting 'what's up?' among intemate friends.

  •
  • 'gi' is a short form for 'ynggi' [should]
