 shì xuésheng, zài JiāZhōu Dàxué niàn shū.
(I) am a student (and) study atthe Univ. of California.
是學生﹐在加州大學唸書。

I study computer engineering atthe UC for master's degree.
我在加大念電腦工程碩士。
  

  1. shì Běijīng rén, 1995 nián lái Měiguó de.

I am from Beijing (and) came to the U.S. in 1995.
我是北京人﹐1995年來美國的。
  

  1. Xiànzài de Yīngyǔ hái bútài hǎo.

Now, my English is not very good yet.
現在我的英語還不太好。
  

  1. Kàn méi wèntí, kěshi tīng shuō hái tài xíng.

Reading is not a problem, the listening and speaking is not good yet.
看沒問題﹐可是聽和說還不太行。

  • bóshì, shuòshì, xuéshì:d octor, master, bachelor

  • 'kàn 'in 'kàn méi wèntí'originally means 'to look at'. In Chinese 'kan' is often used as 'to read', e.g. 'kàn shū' (to read books), 'kàn bào'(to read newspapers).

 'niàn'originally means 'to read aloud'. It means 'to study' in 'Wǒzài zhèr niàn shū'(I study here.)
