• CyberChinese - a multimedia CD-ROM program for learning PCR. It contains 30 lessons with video and audio clips. CSULB students can use it in LAB 306 (Language Art Building.) Order information
• Pinyin Master - a multimedia CD-ROM program for learning Pinyin. CSULB students can use it in LAB 306 (Language Art Building.)

Dictionary

• Concise English-Chinese/Chinese-English Dictionary. The Commercial Press & Oxford University Press, 1986.

• 486 CPU or Pentium, 32 MB RAM, Windows 95/98 NT
• Modem: 28.8 or higher
• Netscape or Internet Explorer
• Internet Service Provider (ISP)
• Sound card. Microphone needed for voice chatting.
• Chinese software for Windows
• Penless Chinese Tool, a free Chinese word processor and learning tool. You can download the software from http://www.penlesschinese.org/download.html. The program is also installed in the computer language lab LAB 305 and 306.
• Adobe Acrobat Reader - a program to print homework and handout in pdf format.
• Mac users should have Chinese Language Kit to view Chinese characters. It is NOT recommended to use Mac for the online Chinese course.
