PUBLIC POLICY

CIVIL RIGHTS DOCUMENTS
Important civil rights documents have been digitized and are now accessible in a searchable database. The database is hosted by the Thurgood Marshall Law Library, University of Maryland School of Law and covers many issues of interest to Chicano studies researchers.

TOMAS RIVERA POLICY INSTITUTE
TRPI, located on the University of Southern California campus, is one of the premier policy institutes on Latino issues through its capacity to conduct sound primary and secondary research. The Institute is a non-profit, free standing and independent research organization.

JULIAN SAMORA RESEARCH INSTITUTE
The Julian Samora Research Institute is an independent think-tank that studies and develops public policy recommendations about Latinos in the United States and the Mid-West in particular. Their series of published reports of empirical studies, theoretical analyses, and policy discussions address the changing role of Latinos in relation to economic, political, religious, education and social institutions.

HISPANIC SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) is the nation's leading organization supporting Hispanic higher education. HSF was founded in 1975 with a vision of strengthening the country by advancing college education among Hispanic Americans-the largest minority segment of the U.S. population. In support of its mission to double the rate of Hispanics earning college degrees, HSF provides the Latino community with more college scholarships and educational outreach support than any other organization in the country. 

HISPANIC COLLEGE FUND, INC.
The Hispanic College Fund’s mission is to educate and develop the next generation of Hispanic professionals. Our scholarship programs focus on developing Latino youth who are pursuing undergraduate degrees in business, science, engineering, technology and math.
