It was a tale of two halves, and a rally to go with it. Down 8-3, the USC Trojans successfully rallied, with a 22-15 payback victory over Long Beach State at the CSULB Rugby Field.
Robert Hughes was 2 for 3 on conversions for 5 points, while Andrew Medal and Austin Reed paced the Beach with a try apiece. Long Beach State drops to 2-3 for the season.
In the reserve grade match, the Killer Bees exacted some payback of their own in a 27-5 rout of the Trojans.
After the Thanksgiving break, Long Beach State returns to action on December 1 when they face the UC Irvine Anteaters. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on the CSULB Rugby Field.
