Preparation for the Spring 2007 campaign up and running

With the bulk of the CSULB rugby team back on campus, practices resumed, with the usual drills after rigorous winter conditioning.
"We had a good number of players at practice that have been working on their conditioning," said head rugby coach Dr. Emyr Williams. " We need to however to shift gears and work on playing rugby. Remember nearly everyone else is already back at school and practicing full time. We need to catch up.
Practices will for the following week will be at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the CSULB rugby field.

ARGENTINA 2007 TOUR UPDATE: For those participating in the 2007 Argentina and Rio tour, the cost will be $500, and is due the first week of the semester. Credit card payment is acceptable. "Those of you that don't have passports need to think about getting one soon," added Dr. Williams.

HORNETS WILL FLY SOUTH FOR A CONTEST AT THE BEACH: In another correction to the schedule, the Hornets of Sacramento State will face the 49ers on January 27. Kickoff time will be posted on both The Squeeze and CSULB Rugby's site once it is received.
Sacramento State participates in the highly competitive Northern California Rugby Union Collegiate Division 1, which includes national powerhouses such as defending national champions UC Berkeley, Stanford, Nevada, and St. Mary's.
