[12-Jun] New Calendar and Grade Plan
To simplify and reduce the summer session workload, the class
calendar and grade plan have been revised. Note the earlier item,
below.
[10-Jun] Course Revision; Problem with Accounts
As determined in class, we are streamlining the course to reduce the Quiz items to the status of extra credit (at only 30 points each) and eliminate the Exercises. The distinction between Editors and Authors was dropped. Students are to seek out their own editors; there will be no credit for editing. However, editors are to be identified for each paper turned in for credit; editors whose performance is inadequate may be penalized as determined and justified on an individual basis by your instructor. A revised Class Calendar, along with a single should be available by Tuesday the 11th. Many thanks for the healthy and open discussions, both in- and out-of-class.
Not one of your computer login accounts work! It seems that, contrary
to prior practice, the student accounts for the previous semester
were not erased before the beginning of the summer session. Therefore,
the accounts issued last week were purged along with the Spring
semester oldies. We will have new ones by Wednesday...
