IS 695 Enterprice Resource Planning

1. Download and Install ORACLE client from the download center
2. Start - Programs - OraHome81- Network Administration - Net8 Assistant
3. From the tree menu
    select Local - Service Naming
    Click on "+" to create a new service naming
4. Net Service Name: Austin
    Choose "TCP/IP" as the protocol
    Host Name: 134.139.79.98
    (oracle 8i) SID: tst
    Change port to: 1541
    Click on finish
5. After you configure your client, you are able to connect     to my database server.
6. Start - Programs - OraHome81- Application Development - SQL Plus
7. Enter user name: "x" + "your first two characters of your last name" + "your last four digitds of your ss#"
For example: Robert Chi with ss# of 123456789
My login name is: xch6789
8. Enter Password: password
9. Enter Host String: austin
10. After you connect to my server, you can practice all SQL commands.
