Before you can set up your E-mail at home, you need to have the following
equipment in your computer:

modem, you need to have a RS232C cable connected between your computer
and the modem.
There are three types of services you can use:

the school server.
To check your E-mail, I recommend you get Netscape Communicator, which
you can get a free download from the following URL: www.netscape.com
It may take more than one hour to download this software. After you
download the software, follow the instruction and install it.
After both the Internet connectivity and the browser are installed,
you need to set up the browser so that it can find your mail server at
CSULB. In Communicator, go to Edit->Preferences->Mail&Groups,
double click the "Mail&Groups" directory, complete the necessary information
for Mail Server.
Mail Server User Name:

Outgoing Mail(SMTP) Server:

After you connect to the Internet, open the Netscape Communicator
and click on your e-mail icon on the right lower corner.
