Arlene |
transferred last year from a community college. After she graduates Spring 08, she plans to enter into a Master's program for counseling students in higher education. She does volunteer work to gain insight as to who she is and what type of career she may be interested in - this has included working with children at a domestic violence shelter, and teaching at-risk youth how to deal with stressing using yoga. She is currently volunteering with student athletes as an academic mentor. In her spare time, she loves going out for bike rides, practicing yoga, enjoying the sunshine. And even though it's a drive, she loves going back home to see her family, friends and loved ones. | ||

Chris |
will be graduating in Spring 08 with a BA in Psychology. Chris hopes to continue his college career by obtaining a Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, after which he hopes to work in a private firm consulting. Aside from school and work, he enjoys playing and watching baseball, relaxing with friends, spending time with family and loved ones, staying active, and long walks on the beach. | ||

plans to graduate with her bachelor's degree in psychology from CSULB in 2009. She is exploring numerous options, and is particularly interested in counseling or school psychology. Outside of school she loves to sleep, spend time with family and friends, and go to the beach. | ||

Gretchen |
is a double major in Psychology and English Literature and a double minor in Biology and Chemistry. She is currently pursuing the pre-med route and has plans of applying to medical schools in June 2008. Of all her college experiences, she considers studying abroad in Europe one of the most enriching and unforgettable times of her life. Living in London (and traveling through most of Europe) has given her a finer appreciation for culture and art and endowed her with wisdom, laughter and a greater sense of self that she will undoubtedly keep with her for the rest of her life. | ||

Jessica |
will be graduating with her BA in psychology in the spring of 2009 and plan on applying to PhD programs for either clinical or counseling psychology. In addition to working on research, she plans on being involved in academia and opening her own practice. She works as a supplemental instructor for an intro to psychology class at LBCC, and as a substitute para-educator for Special Ed in the Norwalk/La Mirada schools. She enjoys cooking different foods from scratch with her mom, watching foreign films, traveling, and training her dog to put her toys away and play dead. |

Jillian |
will be graduating in Fall 2008 with a B.A. in Psychology. She plans to continue on to graduate school and work as a School Psychologist. She working with children, and wants to make them the focal point of her career. Her future goals are to attain her PhD, teach at a university as a full-time faculty member, raise a family, and travel the world. Some of her favorite hobbies include swimming, dancing, kayaking, spending time with family and friends, eating, shopping, and learning new skills. She also enjoys participating in charity events such as walks to raise money to fight cancer, cystic fibrosis, and other life-threatening diseases. | ||

will be graduating in the Spring of '09 with a B.A. in Psychology, and a minor in Criminal Justice. He plans on pursuing a Master's in Social Work, and eventually would like to obtain a PhD in Social Psychology. He is currently the President of the Psychology Student Association for the 07/08 school year. He volunteers for Outreach Concern Inc., a non-profit school counseling internship, and also works for Long Beach BLAST as a reading tutor. His favorite activities include: surfing, traveling, wine tasting, going to football games, and hanging out with his daughter. | ||

Kari |
will be graduating May 2008. She is planning on attending graduate school for Social Work and is applying to several schools in the Southern California area for an MSW program. Her career goal is to eventually work in a mental health hospital setting to provide resources and counseling to underprivileged individuals and families. She is currently a volunteer at the Long Beach Mental Health Center and works part-time as a server. In her free time, she enjoys laughing with friends, beach bonfires, shoe shopping, running with her dog, and visiting her family in Utah. |

will be graduating in Spring 2008, with a BA in Psychology. She plans to continue her studies by attending graduate school to obtain her Master's degree, and eventually, a PhD in the field of School Psychology. Currently she volunteers at UCLA medical in the child development department. In her free time, she likes to relax, sleep, hang out with her friends and boyfriend, watch movies, and go to concerts. |

will be graduating from CSULB in Spring '09 with a BA in Psychology. She is planning to attend graduate school, hopefully on the east coast (New York or Boston), to obtain either a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a PsyD and pursue a career as a therapist. She is currently the publicist for Psychology Student Association and PSI CHI. In her spare time she likes to travel, go to concerts, snowboard, go shopping, dance, sing in the shower, go out to eat, drink coffee and wine, go to the beach, and spend quality time with friends, old and new. | ||

Monica |
will be graduating with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Business Management from CSULB in 2010. Monica plans on applying to joint PhD programs in Clinical Psychology in Southern California and the east coast. She intends to open her own private practice in a low-income community and offer free services for those who cannot afford them. She is currently a research assistant for Dr. Urizar and is working on a manuscript she intends on submitting for publication Fall 2008. In her spare time, Monica participates in hobbies such as reading, kickboxing, hanging out with her friends and decorating anything and everything. |

Monique |
will be graduating in Spring '09 with a BA in
Psychology and a Minor in American Indian Studies; she currently a
member of PSA and Psi Chi. She would like to obtain her PhD, but is
still indecisive about which programs to apply to. Monique
enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and engaging
in recreational activities like softball, swimming, camping, and
taking her dogs for walks or to the beach. She especially loves music
and going to concerts, road trips, entertaining, and sleeping in on
the weekend.

is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Human Resources Management. She hopes to get a job in training or human resources after graduation. She represents the Psychology Department and the Peer Advisors in COLA. In her free time, she likes to eat, sleep, play with her dog, hang out with friends, shop, and stroll around in grocery stores. | ||

Nina |
is in her fourth year at CSULB, and plans to graduate Fall '08. She is currently assisting on research that focuses on work expectations of developmentally disabled individuals with Dr. Whitney. She is also volunteering at the Women's Shelter of Long Beach this semester. She plans to go into Health Psychology and work in a hospital setting, and wishes to obtain a faculty position at a university. Trivia fact: she has been to 41 of the 50 United States. |

Richard |
will be graduating from CSULB with a major in psychology in Spring 2008. Following graduation he plans on moving to Bethesda, Maryland to take part in a research training program sponsored by the national institute of mental health. He will be working with high functioning autistic adolescents. He will have the pleasure of representing CSULB at a state wide research competition on The Effects of Stress on Performance in Stimulus Response Tasks. After completion of the research training program he will apply to a PhD program in both Industrial/Organization and Clinical psychology. With a dual degree he will have two professions: college professor and consultant to businesses. | ||

will be graduating Spring 2009. She is planning on pursuing a Master's degree with a focus in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. In her free time she likes eating, dancing, and spending time with her loved ones. | ||

Tammy |
is graduating Fall 2008, after which she plans to attend graduate school and ultimately obtain a PhD in Clinical Psychology. She is involved with Delta Gamma Sorority, the Study Abroad Club, and the Order of Omega Honor Society. She is also a research assistant for a project that studies coping strategies of children with type II diabetes, is interning with a psychiatrist at BHC hospital in Rosemead, and is a student assistant for Intro Psych and Psychobiology. She love to travel and experience new things. For example: last year she spent 5 months in Barcelona, Spain, traveled through the Sahara Desert and Swiss Alps, and will be going to South Africa this upcoming summer. |

Wadad

will be graduating from CSULB in Spring 2009, with
a major in Psychology and a minor in Linguistics. She plans to continue
her studies by attending graduate school to obtain a Master's degree,
and eventually would like to obtain a PhD in the field of Cognitive
Psychology. She is currently Secretary for the Psychology Student
Association. In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, doing
pottery, painting, and studying languages.
