Description of Research: |
The
relations between our assumptions about each other and how we relate to
each other:
- Peoples' predictions of other
peoples' knowledge. The bases for these predictions and in what
affects the accuracy of our predictions.
- How people's assumptions about
each others' knowledge affects the way they talk to each other. The
structures that people use that seem to reflect their assumptions
about each other.

Willing to
supervise 2-3 students and will offer independent research opportunities
only to those students who have participated in group research. |

Requirements: |
- Take one of her classes.
- Be available to meet with her on a regular basis.
- Must possess a curiosity about language and
cognition.
- Should be interested in all phases of research:
literature review, library research, creating materials, running
subjects, data entry, analysis and further analysis of data.
- Should be familiar with Psych-Lit and SPSS.
- Must have completed Psy 200 and Psy 110 (preferable
to have completed Psy 310, Psy 332, and Psy 433 or 438).
- Should be familiar with conducting library search,
summarizing journal articles, organizing data, entering data, and the
basic data analysis.
