Area of Interest: Effect of aging on behavioral & physiological indicators of cognition.
Courses Taught: Research Methods (Psy 200) and Adult Development and Aging (Psy 365)
Description of Research: Cognitive Aging:
  1. Aging and the memory
  2. Age-changes in the reading processes that support comprehension and memory for prose
  3. EEG correlates of cognitive aging
Student Participations: Willing to supervise 2-3 undergraduate or graduate students & will offer independent and group research opportunities.
Requirements:
  1. Should have at least a 3.0 GPA (exceptions will be made if you have shown the professor that you are reliable).
  2. Should have an interest in scientific psychology.
  3. Should be neat, tidy and reliable.
  4. Should also have completed the following courses: Psy 110, Psy 141, and Psy 200.
  5. Should have completed literate in DOS and Windows.  SPSS is almost a necessity.
  6. Should have a "careful approach to tasks".
Participation Descriptions:
  1. Testing research participants
  2. Data scoring and data entry
  3. Database organization
