Psy 301-CSULB

Information about the final exam.

1.  The final exam will consist of 175 to 200 multiple choice, and matching questions valued at 1 pt. each.  You may earn up to 150 points on the final exam even if you answer all questions correctly.  The reason there are more points possible than can be earned is because all topics related to the course will be covered.  During the semester, there were instances in which you chose assignments from a list (one of five careers, jobs or grad school exercises, etc.) and so would not necessarily have covered all of the information.  Thus you can miss questions and still receive full credit on the exam.

2.  The material covered for the exam will come from your texts, from the answers to the assignments, and previous quizzes, from the pre-test multiple choice questions.  In fact, a minimum of 25 questions on the final exam will be taken directly from the pre-test. To review your earlier quizzes to prepare for the exam, go to your grade book and click on your score for the quiz.  That will take you to the quiz where you can review the questions and especially those you missed.

3. In order to take the final exam, you will need to come to the psychology department computer lab (and bring your password) at one of the available times.  Each student is asked to send an e-mail message to psy301@csulb.edu indicating which of the three times he or she expects to attend.  The times available for the final exam should be posted by November.

4.  If you have any additional questions, send them to psy301@csulb.edu.  In the subject header, put your name/question about final.
