What is Astrophysics?

This branch of physics goes deep into an understanding of the mysteries of the Universe - its geometry, its scale, its contents and its evolution

Quarks bind into nuclei, and atoms into molecules - massive molecular gas clouds collapse to form stars and galaxies. Galaxies come together to form Clusters. Everything from Nuclear & Particle Physics to Gravity to the unknown origins of Dark matter and Dark energy plays a role.

Here at CSULB, we are using theory and computation to explore various facets of Astrophysics. If you'd like to know more about the Universe we live in, and get involved in some research, this is the place to start!
