Some of my students have asked where I buy my work clothes. I typically shop at sites that offer petite sizes, including Ann Taylor (sign up for their emails, the retailer has frequent sales and coupons), Banana Republic (Thursday is the day of the week that items tend to go on sale online) and Talbots.
