COMP Registration & Deadlines
• Registration must be made in person to the CECS Department Office.
• Registration for COMPs begins: Monday, August 4, 2014
• Last Day to Register for COMPs: Friday, August 29, 2014 (End of Week 1)
• Deadline to file for Advancement to Candidacy: Friday, August 29, 2014 (End of Week 1)
On the Day of the COMPS
What to bring on the day of the Comp Exams…
✔ A photo ID and your Student ID number
✔ An adequate supply of pencils and erasers to use for the duration of the exam(s). A pencil sharpener will not be available
✔ A bottle of water if you wish
✔ A non-programmable calculator (your cell phone can not be used)
What not to bring* on the day of the Comp Exams…
✖ A cell phone
✖ A backpack, large purse, or other carrying bag
✖ Paper or class notes
✖ A computer or programmable calculator
✖ A timer or alarm watch
✖ Food or drink other than a bottle of water
*If you bring these items, be prepared to set them at the front of the classroom.
