Chemistry activities from The Catalyst. While many activities are aimed at middle school and high school several can be modified for upper elementary levels.

California State University, Northridge has put together a chemistry education website. This has excellent links for lesson plans, activities, resources, safety issues, etc.

Chemistry games - matching, concentration, word searches and flashcards for elements and their symbols, common names for chemicals, laboratory devices and their use, etc.

A website on matter. includes definitions, background information on matter. Devoted to the standard to help students distinguish between physical changes and chemical reactions. Lots of activities included.

The Teacher Zone, science classroom section of the Educate Children website. This has chemistry activities as well as many other elementary science units.

Center for Excellence in Science & Math Education has lots of resources. One is the Physical Science Activity Manual has almost 3 dozen physical science activities, many of which are chemistry activities.

Britannica's web site of chemistry related articles. Includes history of chemistry, atomic properties and models, advanced chemistry, definitions and clear explanations.

Maryland Collaborative for Teacher Preparation website has a link devoted to chemistry. The site includes: Education, Chemistry Software, Other Lists of Chemistry Resources on the Internet, Chemical Data, On-Line Conferences, Miscellaneous, and Discussion groups (Listserv Lists and Newsgroups). The Resources on the Internet include activities, labs and demonstrations.

Website developed by Umea University for analytical chemistry. While aimed at an older audience, there is useful information here.

ChemCom is a commercially available chemistry curriculum. This site is developed for users of the text. It has good information and links.
