Welcome to my home
page. I am a professor and Chair in the Science Education Deparment at
California State Long Beach. I teach classes for prospective K-12 science
teachers and graduate students earning their Master's in Science Education.
I am also involved in a variety of projects. From this site you can access
information about my classes, research projects, our department, and websites
of interest to science teachers.
Starting July 1, 2013 I will be serving a two year term as President of the California Science Teachers Association. If you are a science teacher (or soon-to-be science teacher) this is your
organization. I encourage you to join and become an active member. The
fall 2013 CSTA Conference will be held in Palm Springs, October 25-27,
