Librarianship Program
                                                                Dr. Lesley Farmer, Coordinator

The Librarianship Program at CSULB is designed to prepare fully-qualified,

outstanding librarian professionals, and emphasizes meeting the information

and reading needs of its diverse youth population. It offers a Teacher Librarian

services credential and a Master of Arts in Education, Option in Librarianship degree.

The state and NCATE-accredited program is based on the principles and philosophy
of the American Association of School Librarians. As such, the program emphasizes

the professional leadership roles of Information Specialist, Educator and Program Administrator.
