Librarianship Program

The Librarianship Program at CSULB is designed to
prepare fully-qualified,
outstanding librarian professionals, and emphasizes meeting the
information
and reading needs of its diverse youth population. It
offers a Teacher Librarian
services credential and a Master of Arts in Education, Option
in Librarianship degree.
The state and
NCATE-accredited program is based on the principles and philosophy
of the American Association of School Librarians. As such, the program
emphasizes
the professional leadership roles of Information
Specialist, Educator and Program Administrator.
