Anthropology 313 World Prehistory, Anthropology 349 Prehistory of California and the Southwest, Anthropology 347 North American Prehistory
I have incorporated a number of exercises and hands-on projects for the class curriculum. I have built into the structure of this class the need for science in archaeology, quantitative methods, cutting edge technologies, geophysical research, etc. I talk about my own research and publications dealing with various regions of the world. I have also stressed the value of studies that focus on contemporary environmental issues (global warming, population growth), multicultural issues, and gender. I consult frequently with colleagues who are specialists in several of these areas for their opinions on some of the recent trends in their area of expertise.
