Recently my students and I have undertaken archaeological survey in the Tuweep region near the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We have collected clay samples and ceramics from the region, which will be subject to ICP-MS analysis by Sachiko Sakai, Graduate Student and Assistant Director for the ICP-MS Laboratory. Additional work will be conducted this spring and summer by undergraduates and graduate students. Sachiko will present the results of the ICP-MS analysis at the Society of American Archaeology Meeting in April 2001.
